Despite this, it’s still possible to find PC games that you can play offline. Most video games now are internet-based, and if they’re not massive, multiplayer experiences requiring high-speed internet connections, they at least revolve around internet access for updates, events, and downloads. Things are different today, and people no longer need to worry about inserting a disk into their computer’s CD-ROM tray to jump into the worlds of Sims or Star Wars. You just popped in your favorite cartridge, hit the power button, and off you went, bouncing off turtles and or fighting ninjas to your heart’s content. Back when 8- to 64-bit gaming was a thing, that never mattered. Most games would require you to be connected to the internet to maximize all its modes and features, but there are times wherein you’re out in public or traveling and don’t have access to a stable connection. We have all had those times when we want to play a game, but, for one reason or another, we don’t have an internet connection.
